Personal Time Management Challenges and Struggles: The Clock is Ticking…

Personal Time Management Challenges and Struggles: The Clock is Ticking…

Due to some personal time management challenges and struggles and not able to get access to my site, I’m back. Here is another installment of the Co-op Blog post. Enjoy. People say “I don’t have time for___.” The truth is they are not managing their time well or they don’t have time for you or your cause. This is something I struggle with on a regular basis. I get overwhelmed with all the stuff I have to do. I have a full-time job working for the local fire department, a second job working for Daytona International Speedway as a firefighter, 3

Try to try…

Try to try…

This is yet another installment in the co-op blog posts from myself, LifeonWard, One Crazy Adventure, and Nease.   Recently I was talking to a friend of mine and he asked me a question that got my gears turning. “Is there advice that you would have like to have had 5 or 10 years ago?” I have thought about this question for weeks. There have been times in my life that I wonder what would have happened if…. If  I would have stayed in college in the Florida Keys and studied marine biology as I had planned.  Or if I

Reach out and ask someone…

Reach out and ask someone…

Several years ago I jumped on the Facebook and Twitter bandwagon. I basically joined so that I could keep up with my friends and family. I never took into consideration the events that would follow. As Facebook back then only allowed for users to use their legal given name. I did as was required. Yet with Twitter I learned that users can use whatever name they chose. I had recently grown my handlebar mustache. I was having difficulty thinking of something interesting to use as my user name. My son who was about 7 years old came up with the

Togo Africa is in need of your help…

I decided to post this again as I believe a lot of people missed it. This is a great opportunity to help others in need. I have recently been asked to go to Togo Africa in September for a building project. I have a soft spot for going to foreign countries and building facilities to help underprivileged teens. I have done several mission trips in the past, mostly in southeast Asia where I assisted with building projects as well.  This will be my first trip to Africa. I had some reservations in the beginning, yet after speaking with J.J. Alderman,

I had some reservations in the beginning, yet after speaking with J.J. Alderman, who is the missionary in Africa, those doubts have evolved into excitement. I am excited to help build this facility that will give these kids

Why I’m doing what I’m doing

Why I’m doing what I’m doing

Over the past couple of years, I have met quite a few people via social media, especially Twitter. This past week one of them asked me a truly hard-hitting question, that made me stop and think. I was simply asked, “Why?”. Last year, I started following a blog called: the Blog of Manly. For years now I have been on a quest to better myself as a man. And in doing so I run across many of blogs and posts. I began reading BoM’s posts and interacting with the authors on Twitter. My interactions lead me to following Chris Gould.
